This Ginger Lemonade recipe is from Carla Hall on The Chew. It has a bite to it. Not a sweet drink for the kids. In fact you’ll have some adults wanting to water it down!
Ginger Simple Syrup:
3/4 cup grated ginger
2 cup sugar
1 1/2 cup water
Place all ingredients in a small pot. Place on medium heat and simmer until the sugar dissolves. Off heat, let steep for 15 minutes. Strain and cool completely.
Mix up the Lemonade: in a large pitcher
1-1/2 cups lemon juice (about 10 lemons)
1 cup ginger simple syrup
2 cups cold water
Add ice and garnish with mint leaves and lemon wedge
